Hot tips for application form
If you are serious about applying, you need to give yourself the very best chance of success. So as well as providing an online application form, we've included some tips on the selection process and information about what happens after you have applied.
Before you go any further, there is a self-selection check that could prevent you wasting an application. If you cannot agree wholeheartedly with all four statements, you should not apply.
- I am willing to be mobile.
- I am flexible about the types of projects I work on.
- I have a genuine interest in IT and its application to business.
- I am eligible to work in Australia indefinitely and without restriction.
Please note:
- If you're reapplying, please ensure it has been one year since your previous application (this includes applications to any of Accenture's workforces including Accenture Technology Solutions).
- You may only apply to one country office at one time.
You have to remember that this is a competitive process and you need your application to stand out from the crowd.
Here are a few tips on getting it right.
Do your homework
You must do your research before filling out the application form. Make sure you have a really good understanding of Accenture’s Workforces and what you hope to do with us. It will help you answer the trickier questions at interview. Also, speak to your friends, career’s counselors and mentors to help align your career decisions with what is the best fit for you.
Keep it interesting
Don't just give us the facts; tell us why you got involved in a particular interest or hobby. It’s also important that you write in your own words and honesty is absolutely the best policy. Don’t exaggerate your achievements or positions of responsibility you may have held at university. Your interviewer will want to discuss these with you in detail.
Take it seriously
Working here is fun, but we need to know you can act professionally in serious business situations too. Read the questions carefully and ensure you’ve fully understood what is being asked. Complete all sections on the form that are relevant to you. The questions we ask are vital to our screening process and if information is missing it will only delay the processing of your application form.
Proof read the form
Mistakes will undermine your credibility, but they are easy to avoid. Check your grammar and spelling. It may seem obvious, but you’d be surprised how many people fail to do this and with a spell-check facility on your pc there really is no excuse! Remember, first impressions count. Stick to the word limits given – be concise and do not waffle just to fill a space in a box.
Save your form
Save your form at regular intervals. You don't want to lose all your hard work if the Internet connection fails.
Timing
Please consider the applications open and close dates and stick to these.
Additional information required
Current Resume
Your resume is an important part of your application, but remember that its purpose is to enhance your application, not replace it, and so please remember to include all your relevant information in your application.
A copy of your academic transcripts
Accenture will also request a copy of your academic transcripts as a part of the initial screening process. If you studied at a University outside Australia, please also attach the description or key of your grades, so that we can correctly interpret your qualifications.
Proof of Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Resident status
Accenture request that all candidates submit proof of Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Resident Status.
